I’m really conscious about water quality these days, and I personally avoid chlorine or harsh chemicals whenever I can—it's just not good for your skin.
Ozone The Natural Solution
Ozone is widely used in premium ice baths and wellness centres worldwide. It’s the most natural way to sanitise your water, eliminating toxins and bacteria that build up over time, keeping it fresh and clean.
Why Ozone is My Go-To
That’s why I rely on Ozone. But if you prefer, you can also use it alongside chlorine, especially in wellness centres where regulations require both in communal plunging spaces.
My Ozone Protocol
After your plunge, just turn on the ozone for 30 minutes, close the lid, and let it work its magic. Before your next plunge, ventilate for 5 minutes, and you’re good to go!
Another Bonus
Ozone helps remove chlorine and odours from tap water. So, if you’re using tap water for your plunge, it’ll clean that up and significantly reduce the chlorine content.
Ozone Device Versatility
At Grounded Ginger, we’ve done the research to ensure your water stays clean, safe, and naturally sanitised. This Ozone Device works with everything—chest freezer conversions, vintage wine barrels, premium ice baths without built-in ozone systems, and heavy-duty inflatable tubs.
A Word of Caution
Be cautious with cheaper inflatable tubs made from certain plastics, as ozone can deteriorate them over time. Always check what your inflatable plunge is made from. If it's a cheap, lighter material, I wouldn’t recommend using any form of sanitiser.
